About Featherstone Granite & Marble

Joel and Cate met in 2009 and, with a crazy leap of faith, married soon afterwards. Life goals and the pursuit of raising a family lead the couple to settle in Oklahoma, Cate’s birthplace and home. The desire to begin growing their family was followed soon after by the search for a family home. The Ledezma family has grown from a young couple with only dreams in mind to a family of 7, with Oklahoma events and businesses the basis for many of the family’s outings and educational opportunities. The pride and love for Oklahoma has translated to their business ideas, also. Although they oftentimes work with clients that have the desire to manage their own remodels, Joel and Cate have had the opportunity to work with local contractors and designers, which has given both parties the ability to bring in elements that are unique to each client.

A Message from Cate

The journey that has brought us here began almost 15 years ago when Joel first began learning the natural stone trade in California. As a perfectionist, he spent much of his off-the-clock time allowing himself to feel the way the blade feels against the stone, learning the way each polishing pad progressively gives a beautiful sheen to a fresh cut edge.

Through working with many people and listening, learning, and practicing new techniques along the way, Joel has gained a wealth of knowledge that he applies to every project he completes, no matter the size.

When I saw the pride he has in the work he does and the joy he receives from giving a client a beautifully completed project, I knew I had do what I could to be the catalyst between clients and a stunning result. Eventually, Featherstone Granite and Marble was born. Our goal is to bring quality craftsmanship and attention to detail to each project we work on.

We want to leave our clients with a feeling that they are important to us, because each client is important. The project that we leave them with is more than just stone, its more than just a project number. These are changes to their homes, which become changes in their lives, and we understand how important these changes are.
